Niagara Frontier Conference
Youth Ministry Network

The Niagara Frontier Conference Youth Ministry Network (NFCYMNet) is an offshoot of the ELCA Youth Ministry Network.  Just as its ELCA church-wide entity, the NFCYMNet exists to support adult youth workers and youth ministry programs happening in churches in the Niagara Frontier Conference by:

• offering regular opportunities for youth workers to gather for peer support, prayer and conversation
• promoting and at times organizing training and educational opportunities for youth workers
• one-on-one consultations with youth workers and churches looking for guidance and support

Upcoming NFCYMNet Gatherings

The NFCYMNet gathers monthly at a local eatery or fun spot for connections, conversations, prayers, and support.  It's completely informal, comfortable and a small-group setting.  Come check it out!

Thursday, March 11 at 7:30 pm
Panera Bread, North Buffalo Rd., Orchard Park (North of village center, South of Milestrip Rd.)
We gather in the Southtowns and discuss what is happening there and how the NFCLYO can help sustain youth ministry there.

Saturday, April 10 at 8:30 am
Panera Bread, South Transit Rd., Lockport (in the Home Depot plaza)
Gathering in Niagara County to talk NFCLYO Northeast issues.

Thursday, May 20 at 7:30 pm

ELCA Youth Ministry Network Gathering in the East
April 16-18, 2010 in Harrisburg, PA
Are you a newer youth worker looking for insight, education, support and prayer to take your youth ministry program to that next level?  This weekend retreat in a hotel setting with dozens of your peers on a smaller, more accessible scale may be just the thing to help!  A 5-6 hour drive will get you to a weekend of worship, workshops, conversations, resources, great fun and more!  Check out this website for more information!

"Begin":  Youth Workers Retreat
Coming Fall 2010
This retreat is being designed for local youth workers (especially volunteers!) who are leading their youth ministry programs at their church...but really wish they knew how to do it better!  Keeping local volunteers in mind, this Friday evening-Saturday afternoon retreat will be held locally and kept affordable, while providing quality training, faith experiences designed for adult youth workers, and time to connect with others, relax and get away!  Look for info coming soon...
